BAKER, Earle C. 87, of Harwich, MA and North New Portland, ME, and formerly of Dedham, MA died with his family by his side on July 30, 2009 from injuries received in an automobile accident in New Portland, ME. Earle was the loving husband of the late Margaret (DeMers) Baker, devoted father of Carol Baker and her husband James Burdell, Janet Baker, and Earle Baker Jr., beloved grandfather of Philip Sullivan Jr., Amy Sullivan, Kelly Sullivan-Craig, Johnathan and Jennifer Baudanza, and cherished great-grandfather of Stephanie and Sarah Craig. He is also survived by his sisters Ruth Larson of Florida and Margery Marple of West Virginia. Earle was a WWII Veteran serving in the South Pacific where he was awarded several Bronze Star medals, among others. He was a retired printer from the Dedham Transcript Newspaper where he worked as foreman of the composing department for 48 years. He brought love and laughter to everyone's lives he touched, and will be sorely missed by his family and his friends on Gilman Pond. Internment will be private.
