The School Committee met last night in violation of the state Open Meeting Law.  This is the second such violation since April.

Massachusetts General Law Chapter 39 Section 23b states that all meetings, unless they are an emergency, are to be posted at least 48 hours before the meeting.  A complete notice for the Wednesday night meeting was time stamped by the Town Clerk’s office on Tuesday.

In April the Committee met though the meeting notice was not posted at the Town Clerk’s office in violation of both state law and the Town Charter.
