School Committee member Margaret Connolly took advantage of reserved parking at yesterday’s High School graduation ceremony.Connolly’s request for the reserved space at last week’s School Committee meeting caused controversy on myDedham.org after her request was reported on myDedhamNews.
Connolly was dropped off at the entrance to the James F. Dunne auditorium shortly after 5:00 yesterday afternoon before the 5:30 ceremony. Her daughter then drove their car to the end zone parking lot where she produced a letter from Principal Jake Santamaria granting her the privledged space.
A school custodian was guarding the gate and turned away other attendees without letters, some of whom parked at the American Legion parking lot on Eastern Ave.The letter was dated May 28, the day after Connolly made her request.
Who cares...really? This is Dedham news? Ridiculous...

I'm not

I'm not picking on anyone. Margaret Connolly is the only person who had a big deal about receiving a space. Had it been any of the men on the Committee I would done exactly the same thing.
